What is the Structure of the People Management Course?
 
A blended learning approach takes your managers through:
  • Pre-work: an assignment that engages your managers with a practical assignment based on their team
  • Course: a two-day workshop. Managers complete syndicates, personal projects and case studies, developing outputs that are easily integrated into day-to-day activity
  • Case Study: usually based on scenarios that exist in your business, participants have the opportunity to:
    • Role Play: People management scenarios they are likely to face in their personal roles
    • Coach: colleagues in a live environment
The role plays provide a challenging learning process. The content focuses on getting to the core of performance and behavioural issues participants find challenging and uncomfortable to deal with. To deal with them in a safe environment, using ideas and techniques, enables participants to confidently use them successfully in their personal roles.
  • Field Project: a structured project, which acts as the catalyst for participants to implement the learning in their personal roles. This powerful motivator builds momentum which can be accelerated with coaching support provided by participants’ line managers. We can help you with coaching materials, advice or you could have a Performance Coaching course or a coaching programme tailored for your organisation. 
  • Certification: an opportunity for your managers to earn an award by demonstrating how they have implemented the field project.  At an event held 8-12 weeks after the workshop, they present their results to one of your senior executives and a TLSA consultant. Each presentation is assessed and each manager is provided with feedback and a certificate endorsed by you and TLSA.
